Once fully developed, the 350-acre partnership is set to provide 400 megawatts of data power.

“To put that into perspective, the entire data center market in Dallas-Fort Worth currently totals around 400 megawatts,” says Tony Creme. “We’re thrilled about this project and believe it holds tremendous potential.”

The property is situated within an 18,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use development in North Fort Worth. Although still under development, the project already hosts over 480 companies, providing more than 48,000 jobs.

“This is the gift that seems to keep on giving,” Creme says about the data center for the social network. The company has already poured $1.5 billion into the 150-acre campus, with Buildings I and II fully operational. Meanwhile, Building III is under construction, and work on Buildings IV and V is set to begin soon.

These projects showcase why Dallas-Fort Worth is recognized as the nation’s top industrial market. By the end of 2017, the Metroplex ranked first in space under construction for the fourth year in a row and led in net absorption for the second consecutive year.

“That’s a very exciting stat,” says Creme.

CBRE reports that 2017 saw 26.8 million square feet of new deliveries, “breaking the record set last year for annual construction completions.” This figure represents a small portion of the total 96.6 million square feet delivered.
